Hi! I am not sure if any of you are in the Nashville area, but I have an event taking place tonight. If you are, I would love to meet you. Come on out to the Hall of Fame Lounge! The openings for the competition are completely filled BUT there is always room in the audience!

ARTIST COMPETITION FOR CATZ RADIO

WHEN: March 21st 7 ? 10 PM

WHERE: Hall of Fame Lounge, Nashville, TN

This competition is open to singer songwriters that would like a chance to be put into regular rotations on CATZ radio. CATZ is licensed through BMI, ASCAP, and SESAC. Twenty-five individuals will have the opportunity to perform in front of music industry professionals. (see below) The top 5 scoring songs will be put into regular rotations on CATZ for thirty days in the Indie Artist Spotlight. Each song will be judged on performance, originality of lyric, and the craft.

Rules: 1) YOU MUST bring a CD with the song to the competition. How else will I play it on the radio?
2) You must be the person singing on the CD

Sign up by emailing David Lee at Davidleesongs@aol.com

The first 25 to sign up will be in the competition!

Judging is Jonathan Sayles, Promotions Coordinator from Show Dog Nashville, Rich Eckhardt, songwriter and Toby Keith?s lead guitarist, The Bellamy?s, Country duo and CMA?s artists to watch in 2007, and Mercedes Montgomery, General Manager and Host on CATZ radio.

Bio?s below:

Jonathan Sayles is Promotion Coordinator for Show Dog Nashville. Prior to working for Show Dog he was Coordinator of Marketing and Artist Development at RLG/Sony BMG Entertainment.

Rich Eckhardt is one of the most sought after guitarists in Nashville. His ability to cover multiple styles has put him on stage with singers ranging from Steven Tyler of Aerosmith to Shania Twain and Willie Nelson.

SHAKE Magazine says..."Rich Eckhardt is an all around, all styles guitar player, a musician's musician. This is a smooth record that nicely shows off many sides to Rich's guitar playing prowess".

Nashville Musicians Union album review states..." Eckhardt emerges as a visionary with a compositional sense; and the resulting musicianship and performances mirror the emotional input derived from this guitarist's very heart and soul. He's Cool!"

20th Century Guitar Magazine says..."Rich Eckhardt finally gets to cut loose and showcase his guitar abilities and overall talents as a fine solo artist in his own right".

Today, Eckhardt is extremely busy, balancing his hectic touring schedule with studio sessions, and television appearances. He has performed in nearly every major concert venue in the world, played on multi-platinum and Grammy winning albums, entertained for three American presidents and has been seen on most of the industry's staple television shows including the Tonight show and Superbowl XXXVIII. In addition to his solo efforts Rich has been playing lead guitar for Country superstar Toby Keith since 1998
Jesse and Noah Bellamy: CMA Closeup: Who's New to Watch in 2007 - Jesse and Noah

Jesse and Noah are among the acts cited in the February-March issue of CMA Closeup magazine as "who new to watch in 2007" for their original songs celebrating good times and bad, stunning harmonies, and sizzling instrumentation. In fact, the first single released last year from NOWHERE REVISITED, the friendly warning "Daddy's Got a Shotgun," got the band on The Texas Music Chart's Top 50 of 2006.

American Music Belgium ranked Nowhere Revisited number 3 out of the 100 Best American Albums of 2006!

Mercedes,

Wish I could make it, but the Gulfstream is in the shop. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

If you have some time soon, check out the website for a friend of mine who's an up and coming singer/songwriter (country style). His name is Jason DeShaw and he is a true Montana country boy. His website is http://www.thecountryway.com/ He's played across the country at college campuses and county fairs.

He's opened for some big names including:
Pam Tillis
Little Big Town
Wade Hayes
Brian White
Emerson Drive

There are some full length mp3's on the site to sample his latest. And the schedule on his website says he'll be in Nashville for the month of April.

Let me know if I can help the two of you get together.

Good luck with the show tonight.

Dave

Dave that would be great! I would love to meet him! These contests are awesome ways for artists to get heard by label executives and other industry pros. I will pm you the date of the April contest. I should have it by tomorrow night; he should sign up ASAP. As soon as the date is announced it is filled.
