RadioDaddy _ General Discussion...( NO Voice Request ) _ Avenel The Motion Picture 2009 Is Getting Great Help Here!

Posted by: GeorgeW Nov 25 2009, 08:01 PM

Hi, everyone!

To date, We have received some terrific assistance from FirstActsAudio, Sunnysmile, and JeffLewis in our efforts to voice the film over with clear, pleasant and understandable voices. Glenn is now our Notorious Portefoy, and Sunnysmile is now Rosa! Scene Four is coming along nicely.

Jeff is reading for various roles as we come to them, and has sent us a couple of test reads for ideas for a part for him in this film.

Glenn has just sent us his second installation for Scene Four, and we still need two mature female roles to complete that scene... One is the bit part of Lydia Webb:

HELLO. MY NAME IS LYDIA WEBB. MRS. BURWELL (pronounced 'BURL', they were originally Scottish!) WILL BE WITH YOU, DIRECTLY.

MAY I TAKE YOUR HAT?

MRS. BURWELL WILL BE WITH YOU, DIRECTLY.

That is her entire part in the film...

The second role is a larger role; MRS. BURWELL appears with Captain Beauregard in the opening scene (she has 15 lines in this scene, all of them short lines... such as Good afternoon, sir! Won't you come in? and Thank you! as well as Lettie, Kate, Rosa, and Fan!!. She appears with Portefoy in Scene Four, and has five sentences, in two lines of dialogue. She appears with her husband in a scene later on, with about five lines in that scene, she appears in the dream sequence and has one line upon awakening...

Her part is an easy read, but actually shows up as fifth billing in the film!

I will be releasing each of the finished voiceovers in a series of Youtubes as I get them roughed out, and I will supply the links to these as well. (I will smooth them over completely in post-production once a scene has been completed...).

Again, payment is a finished copy of the two hour film, as well as full and generous credits at the end of the film, and whatever else we can provide herein, as well.

The reading is very easy. The best way I have found is as follows: All you do is watch the posted youtube of the original scene, and then read the line twice. Read it the first time as natural, right with the character... and the second time with a space between each sentence.

That should do it!

I will try to prevent any pronounciation problems, if I can!

And thanks for everything, so far!

Hope you like it!

I was asked today why we are doing all of the voices over in the house... I want the sound pressures to be the same, and get rid of that awful echo for most of the voices. I want all of the digital8 camera sound replaced, and have clear voices that are not hard to follow, nor understand!

Sunnysmile just sent us her next lines as ROSA in the PORTEFOY MEETS ROSA end of Scene Four sequence. I will be adding her lines to that scene, as well as those of Glenn Hascall reading the Raven as my next Youtube posts!

I thank Sunnysmile (ROSA) for her latest work, as well as Glenn (PORTEFOY)!
