I recently mounted a lot of fiberglass panels (14 so far) almost in a "wall to wall" configuration in my spare room voice over studio with the idea that all the absorbtion would create a large vocal booth. With my initial tests of trying "omni" rather than "cardiod" on my mic, and being able to back off mic maybe a foot and no significant room sound, I gotta say woo-hoo, it works!

Throwing some money at room treatment has done what years of throwing money at hardware has not been able to do. Believe it. (Turns out it also added more bass to my jbl 4410 monitors and removed some low mid mud from my krk rokit5 speakers.

I've simplified the recording chain as well Sony C48 > FMR RNP & RNC > Symetrix 528 for slight de-ess/gate > USBPre as interface to laptop.

Still working on developing the talent (IMG:http://www.radiodaddy.com/requests/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) (IMG:http://www.radiodaddy.com/requests/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (IMG:http://www.radiodaddy.com/requests/style_emoticons/default/mf_farmer.gif)
