So we decided to put a site together where a station owner or PD can find everything he needs in one place.
The site will be called "Broadcast Radio Network" and as I said we will only feature top quality shows. There will be no fee to have your show advertised on the site, however will encourage everyone to hit the donation button from time to time to help keep the site up and running. I am building the website right now, so there is nothing to see right now.

How the site will work:

We will post your show information, logo and demo on the site. You will have the option to post whatever contact information you like, like an email or phone number. Stations will be contacting you directly, we will have no interference.

The site will also have a live stream that will feature some live and per-recorded programs and possibly demos of the shows featured on the site, this is something that I think will be very beneficial to station owners, show host and producers. so if your show is having difficulty finding affiliates; this may be for you.

If you would like to submit your radio program to be featured on the Broadcast Radio Network site, send me a pm and a link to a recent (Full)show. We have a listen to it and let you know if we will add it to the list of programs. Please note that the site will only feature top quality shows with high quality sound and representation.

If you submit a show and it's not accepted please don't be discouraged, all of us at one time started from somewhere. Don't give up on your show, just work on perfecting it and contact us again later. Stations will be looking for top quality shows and that is exactly what we are going to give them.

We will also be emailing stations on a mass scale with the shows we represent, so this can only be a positive experience for you.

Why are we doing this?
I myself am sick and tired of contacting major networks to plug my show, just to have them delete my email before they even have a chance to hear my demo. My name is Valentina, and I am still quite new to voiceovers and recording. The biggest problem I seem to be having lately with recording, is editing out my breathing.
I use an MXL 990 microphone and even though it is much better than the regular headset I'd been using before, it still picks up my breathing... When I download other peoples dry reads, I never hear breathing in them... How is that done?

I was wondering if anyone had any tips or tricks to share.

OZZIE GREENE – 30’s male. Somewhat uptight and anxious.

1. But what about… (Stops and recognizes someone in the crowd) Wait a minute. (Stage whisper). We had a guy in the shop today – (Tries to remember his name) Eh, Mark… somebody. He’s right over there.

2. The good news is Pat’s going to be fine, but he’s taking some time off. Something about recovering, fishing and adding crossword puzzles to his list of brain enhancing tools…



CLARA MASON – An elderly widow who gets confused.

1. Don’t have much money and I’ve got guests coming.

2. You remind me of my dead husband, Roy.



JOE WATSON – Late 20’s male. Sarcastic, deeper voice.

1. Just some old junk – I mean valuable family memories.

2. Oh, sure. My name is Hilby Mushman and I stumbled across these items on my travels through an abandoned hotel in Port Chester. I like long walks in the park and the Texas two-step, southern sweet tea, cheddar biscuits and reading mystery novels. Anything else?



BIRCH WILSON – 30’s male. Extremely self-assured, eccentric, quick witted.

1. Although it’s possible Pat’s just hungry for junk food containing various office products.

2. You are going to love the apple pie, Ozzie. It’s just incredible. But Sharon? She’s snippy, don’t ask about her mole. Say, did you know there’s a fishing tournament going on at the lake?



MARK FOSTER – Late 20’s male. Down on his luck. Not quite bitter yet, but close.

1. Why is that important to you? Do you always harass your customers?

2. Look. I live in a crummy basement apartment because I earn next to nothin’. A part of my window broke. I can’t afford to fix it – and my landlord won’t. I figure the record would fit over the missing glass and I could seal it up with tape. (Beat) Better than being cold. Right?



ROSS REYNOLDS – 20’s male. Not cartoon geeky, but you can hear it in his voice.

1. Watch it! (Beat) Hey Ozzie, do I have something cool for you today. Look at this poster.

2. Seriously? I bet you wouldn’t even know good cheese if you tasted it.



OFFICER BENSON – 40s or 50s male. Always wanted to be a cop in a big city, but never quite had the right stuff. Deeper, confident voice – Think Ted Baxter only less newsy.

1. Right. While we’re still looking for the guy that clobbered Pat we did retrieve what was left of the Chinese Puzzle Box.

2. I don’t know – it all seems weird. I was hoping for some arrests and a reason to use my handcuffs, siren and possibly my traffic whistle.



DAREE BOYD – 20s or 30s female. Smart, but a little directionless.

1. I just heard a whack, saw that guy fall, and then some guy ran toward the door with a box.

2. Maybe it would help if you knew it was a short guy with a geeky voice.

Been here before... for years actually. Took tome off due to sickness, and can't for the life of me remember my password, or the email address I would have used. I was dudeinmaine, now I guess I'm dudefrommaine. LOL

I'm a webcaster, and as the old me got lots of assistance with some great people for my Twisted Christmas shows! Some of that stuff still amazes me!

It's gonna be fun to get back on the air again. Due to my illness I'm now disabled, no more network engineering :(

So, I'm looking for some help with a new project. At the risk of approaching a touchy topic.... As many know, some states have approved the use of some ...hmm being politically correct as I can... herbal alternatives to pharma chemicals. Anyhow... I am working on a public service site related to that. Totally non profit, more like negative profit. Rather then openly post such sensitive material publicly, I'm hoping to find a like minded sympathetic to the cause person to do a little bit of voice work. I can do post production, or you can play and have some fun... either way works!

I would also be interested in a show that plays purely Motown music.
