I've been doing imaging for awhile now, and doing drops and sweeps. I wanted to hear professional opinions as I am trying to make myself better in my field.

I use:

Adobe Soundbooth CS5
M-Audio Studio Condenser Mic
Sennheiser Monitor Headphones

Drop attached is for one of my close friends that has a metal show on a local radio station, "Big Boy's Alternative Hour".

All the best... -Jay

Thank you so much Marie :) Doing things yourself is one thing, but in order to get the feel, need others opinions, greatly appreciated!

I like it. Your voice is good and the production is bang on.

I do have one suggestion. I like to keep my imaging tight. In this promo, everytime the VO is on, the music stops. That works great for effect, but I don't think it should be like that every time.

For most of the spot I would leave music in the background. Maybe cut the music for effect once.

I'm even confused by what I wrote, so I'll attach a file to show you what I'm talking about.

I like to have the VO talk at the end of the hook. As soon as that VO chunk is finished, the next hook starts, so there is always music playing.

This isn't a "rule" or anything, and I'm no expert, but it'll give you something to think about next time you're in the booth. Overall great work though. Just keep experimenting
